Ingredients:
- 10 to 12 usirikayalu/gooseberrys/Amlas
- 2 table spoons chana dal
- 1 table spoon urad dal
- 1 tea spoon rai
- 1 tea spoon jeera
- 7 to 8 garlic pods
- few curry leaves
- 5 to 8 red chillies
- 5 to 6 green chilles
- 1/2 tea spoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 tea spoon haldi
- 2 tea spoons salt (as per taste)
- 1 tea spoon sugar or jaggery (Optional)
- 3 to 4 table spoons of oil
- Half lemon size tamarind
- A pinch of hing
Method:
Heat 2 table spoons of oil in a pan. Fry rai, jeera, urad dal and chanadal. When the dals turn to golden color remove them into a bowl. In the same oil fry green chillies and red chillies separately and keep the in the bowl. Let them cool.
