tomato pappu

Ingredients:

  • Toor dal(kandi pappu)
  • Green Chillies
  • Chopped Tomatoes
  • Turmeric
  • Salt
  • Ghee
  • Chilli powder
  • Mustard seeds

    Method:

    • First take a pressure cooker add toor dal, tomatoes, green chillies, turmeric and add water and keep the lid for 3-4 whitles.
    • Now heat oil / ghee ( if you add ghee it gives nice taste)  in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves, dry red chillies, garlic and  fry them for few min.
    • Now remove the lid add these to the dal.
    • And mix it well.
    • Add little red chilli powder,salt and coriander leaves.
    • Serve with rice and roti.
